What’s wrong with Apple’s iPadOS 18?

Ana sayfa / News

Apple’s new operating system, iPadOS 18, was recently made available for all users. However, it was stated that it caused unexpected problems in some iPad Pro models with M4 chips and made the tablet unusable. The update was then withdrawn two days after it was released.

The problem started when some users who installed iPadOS 18 reported that their tablets wouldn’t turn on. It also did not respond to actions such as charging or Recovery Mode. The update reportedly caused some iPad Pro M4s to lock up.

Apple said the issue affected certain Pro M4 models. However, the company has removed the iPadOS 18 update from its servers to prevent more iPad Pro users from being affected. So the update is currently not available for download even on supported devices.

It was reported that the problem does not affect all iPad Pros with the M4 chip, but occurs under certain conditions. In addition, other iPad models do not seem to have experienced any error. Nevertheless, Apple announced that it is working on a fix for the problem and will release iPadOS 18 after determining the root cause of the bug.

In the meantime, iPad Pro M4 owners are advised not to update their devices and to notify the company of any issues.
